Rolling greens is a common practice at Hazeltine, and the 2016 Ryder Cup has been no exception. In addition to increasing the speed of the greens and elevating the level of play, there are a number of other advantages to rolling greens.
Overall turf health is one of those advantages. By rolling greens, crews can essentially raise the overall height of cut without sacrificing green speed, which contributes to healthier turf.
