Toro had something new for everyone at this year’s Golf Industry Show (GIS) in Orlando, making the Toro booth a popular stop for course superintendents and crew members. From solutions that make irrigation more precise and efficient to new mowers and utility vehicles for superior course care, Toro introduced a wide range of innovations:
Workman® GTX Lithium-Ion Lifted and Workman® GTX EFI Lifted
Toro literally raised the bar with two new additions to its lineup of Workman® GTX Utility Vehicles. The new Workman GTX Lithium-Ion Lifted and Workman GTX EFI Lifted models each provide an additional three inches of ground clearance compared to traditional Workman GTX vehicles, making it easier for operators to traverse rough or uneven terrain without damage or accidentally dragging debris. The Workman GTX Lithium-Ion Lifted boasts the largest cargo capacity of any lithium-ion powered model in its class. Plus, its lithium-ion power packs are nearly 26% lighter than models with traditional lead-acid batteries, so it makes a big impression on productivity without leaving a big impression on course turf.
Greensmaster® 1000 Series FlexTM Walk Greens Mowers
Designed to hug contours and undulations, the new Greensmaster® Flex 1018, Flex 1021 and eFlex 1021 walk greens mowers help eliminate variability in the walk mowing process among operators of differing skill levels. The innovative telescoping loop handle adjusts easily to comfortably accommodate operators of different heights. Handle isolation mounts allow consistent cutting unit ground contact throughout the mowing process, eliminating even the slightest variability in the height-of-cut that can occur because of variations in handle pressure or influence from differing operator strides. The result is the ultimate in quality-of-cut consistency from pass to pass and green to green.

Groundsmaster® 3200/3300 Out-Front Rotary Mowers
New Groundsmaster® 3200/3300 mowers offer improved productivity features for getting the job done quickly, including large 60” (152 cm) and 72” (182 cm) side discharge, rear discharge and flail cutting decks, plus fast ground speeds up to 15 mph (24 kph) or moving between job sites efficiently. The operator experience is enhanced through adjustable seat suspension, tilt steering, a convenient control panel on the armrest, and more. For added versatility, 3200/3300 mowers are compatible with a range of attachments for multi-season use, including a BOSS® snowplow, safety cab enclosures and other snow implements.
NozzAlert™ Flow Monitoring System
The risk of turf damage due to clogged, damaged or missing spray nozzles is greatly reduced by using the new NozzAlert™ Flow Monitoring System with Toro Multi Pro® Sprayers. NozzAlert monitors flow at each individual spray nozzle across the entire spray boom and provides both visual and audible alerts if there are any flow disparities. NozzAlert provides peace of mind and enables prompt corrective action to ensure complete spray application coverage and effectiveness.
IntelliDash™ Course Management Platform
The upcoming IntelliDash™ platform from Toro will integrate real-time irrigation system status, sensor data, agronomic conditions, labor data, asset location and equipment health information into a single dashboard, helping course managers simplify course operations, identify inefficiencies and better allocate resources. With key information all in one location — easily viewed on a computer or mobile device from anywhere at any time — superintendents and course managers can make confident, data-driven decisions and track budget allocations.
Lynx® Cloud-Based Features
The Toro® Lynx® Central Control System is already considered an essential tool by most golf course superintendents, and Toro announced at GIS that the next evolution of Lynx, with expanded cloud-based features, will be available in early 2020. Among the many ways that the new version will give superintendents even more control over course conditions are enhanced rendering schemes for the customized interactive course map. Every sprinkler on the course is represented by a symbol and color that not only displays each sprinkler’s location but also its current status and which Precip Management Group (PMG) it belongs to. Superintendents will be able to review irrigation rates and ensure alignment with the infiltration rate of that area of the course.
Autonomous Technology
Toro continued its leadership in consistent, repeatable results with a new suite of autonomous technologies called GeoLink Solutions™. Available now is the Multi Pro® 5800 with GeoLink AS (autosteer), a 300-gallon (1135-liter) dedicated sprayer that uses GPS control to ensure precision coverage. Other solutions in development include the Multi Pro® 5800 with GeoLink Machine-to-Machine Communication as well as Reelmaster® and Greensmaster® mowers with GeoLink Technology.
